Tora, tora,

I'm back online =)

Self portrait

The 2nd photo is the interior of one of my favorite restaurant, Delicious, in Kuala Lumpur. I mostly crave the pastas, desserts, and fried mushrooms. It’d be best to visit the One Utama branch as they normally serve bigger portions (I really don’t know why). Sadly, my recent visit to the one in Dua Residency was quite a disappointment. I really hope it’s a one-time mistake in QC.

Recently acquired a 135mm for the Pentax in hope of taking some far away photos soon. I had the ocean in mind for some reasons. These weren’t taken by the Pentax though but my darling Canon Populaire.

Photos: Greenery & Hungry Ghosts

I’m very grateful at how green is Singapore – parks well maintained, rain trees everywhere. I should make my way to the Botanical Garden soon, maybe on one of the saturdays after class.

Photos: Rehearsal of Youth Olympic Games (YOG)

This was quite fun, many things needed to be ironed out for the real YOG opening night but the performers seemed to have good energy to start with.

Thank you Michael for the ticket.

Do we have waterfalls in Singapore?

Forgive me for the long hiatus. I’ve just managed to settle down on this weather-dictated island and things have been moving forward incredibly fast that sometimes I think it’s already 2011.

I’m bursting with so much to say. Will be back soon. In the meantime, these humble overexposed shots shall show you my new office area.
The Arrival

This is the alternate view from my window and these trees always remind me of warm fuzzy blankets.

it's dreamy around my officeThis is where you and I could have shared a smoke

And I really love how dreamy it gets here.

L’Étranger

I’ve made purchases of things that I’d never see myself making if I was still in Kuala Lumpur. A pair of flats in leopard prints, a parapluie, and running shorts in blue and aquamarine. The flats are for my feet that’s been constantly on the road, hills, or wet streets. There is Island Creamery across where I live, a botanical garden, and an alluring running track for an evening run. There is also few eateries and coffee shops, quaint shopping malls and Cold Storage across the street. Reasons are aplenty to show how smitten I am with this island for what it has to offer. And I tell myself that I could only be charmed for so long like all the countries I’ve called home and wonder if I will thereon look for another.

Almost perfect

I will follow you.
